Mapping the Strait
An awesome stuff post. Check out: Mapping the Strait.. I heard about this yesterday on the Craig Fahle Show (my favorite place for Detroit, Michigan news). Blogger, Robert Linn creates maps about the city. It’s fascinating if you love the city and it’s history (and I know you do!). I recommend the liquor license map and his most recent post on the history of transit . Amazing.
I Stand Corrected–Cool Detroit Piece Exists.
Look for some Detroit themed Lists of Seven coming in the next week or so, but to get you in the mood, I have to put up a link to something awesome. In fact this will be the first time I use my category Awesome Stuff, which is meant to post stuff I like.
Remember two weeks ago or whatever when I was like grumble grumble woe is me, Detroit never gets good and/or fair and/or true press. Weeeelll, I saw this series on Palladium Explorations and it was pretty amazing and kind of right on. I mean you obviously can’t show everything ever in a city and I’m a little annoyed that they didn’t hit some of the beautiful buildings that are not in ruins, but regardless a really well done piece. I highly recommend checking it out, hence the blog post. You can find it here:
